This exhibit features 45 portraits of Sacramento's poets by local artist Suzanne Johnson, who was commissioned by the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission (SMAC) in 2006-2008 to create the portraits for a deck of cards. The reception includes readings by Julia Connor, Patrick Grizzell, Ann Menebroker, and Kathryn Hohlwein, to name a few.

Empty Bowls, benefiting River City Food Bank in Midtown, is an annual event mixing great art with incredible soup from restaurants around the region. This year's event will again feature three separate seatings to accommodate demand and raise awareness about hunger in Sacramento.

Bagpipes, drum corps, Irish step dancers, costumed marchers, and festive pageantry, bring the luck of the Irish to parade watchers during the annual St. Patrick's Day Parade. Over a decade in existence, the parade has become a celebrated tradition filling the streets with over 500 costumed marchers, military regiments, marching bands, uniformed police and fire professionals, cultural organizations, and much more.

Go Figure! is a group exhibition of figural paintings featuring Sacramento-based painter Jeff Felker and others.
-Richard Gilles' Had Enough: Axis Gallery, 6pm-9pm
This exhibit is a series of photographs taken of public demonstrations on the streets of San Francisco in the 1990s.
