Opening this week is Artists' Birdhouses, a gallery fundraiser featuring original birdhouses created by California artists Arthur Gonzales, Mick Sheldon, Lee Kavaljian, Roger Berry, Ron Peetz, James Adan, Gioia Fonda, Gerald Walburg, Don Meyer, Heidi Bekebrede, Chris Daubert, Tony Natsoulas, Michael Stevens, Suzanne Adan, and others.

The Forgotten Carols is a Christmas Concert for the whole family, starring Michael McLean. Start the season off right with a beautiful story of the true meaning of Christmas. Come join us for a night of wonderful music and the spirit of the holidays.

The holidays start in Old Sacramento the week of Thanksgiving as the historic business district undertakes the annual Old Sacramento Tree Lighting and Theatre of Lights . The Tree Lighting festivities will include live performances, a visit from Father Christmas, and much more. Visitors can join the fun and watch as Mayor Kevin Johnson flips the switch to light the tree.

Bring a canned food item to donate and enjoy a performance by multi-instrumentalist Jackie Greene-a captivating performer who works well in simple, sparse environments. His music is soulful, exhibiting elements of folk and roots.
Sports & Rec: Run to Feed the Hungry
Thurs 9am-Noon *Timed starts: 10K 8:35am, 5K 9am
The 17th annual Run to Feed the Hungry is a 5K and 10K fun run and walk. This event has become a part of Thanksgiving tradition for Sacramento families. It is owned and operated by Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services (SFBFS) and funds raised through registration, sponsorships, and the give and win challenge all benefit programs at SFBFS.

Hmong New Year has a variety of cultural shows, activities, and entertainment. There are various exciting cultural competitions, such as the California Hmong Beauty Pageant, group dances, choral flutes and musical performances, and Sacramento-region Hmong musicians and artists.
