Sacramento Firecracker 5K/10K Run & Walk: William Land Park, July 2,

After the 5K/10K Run/Walk, enjoy an award ceremony & great raffle giveaways, plus post-race refreshments for all runners/walkers.

 

Independence Weekend Celebration with the River Cats:

Raley Field, July 2-July 3, Sat 7:05pm & Sun 6:35pm

Come watch as the River Cats take on the Tucson Padres, followed by fantastic fireworks. On Sun, U.S. Army presents an American Flag to first 2,500 fans.

 

4th of July Five-Miler: Glenn Hall Park, July 4,

Mon Kids' Half-Mile 7:45am; Five-Mile Race 8am-4pm

Come take part in Sacramento's oldest running event—the 35th Annual 4th of July Five-Miler hosted by Buffalo Chips Running Club! There is also a Kids' Half-Mile.

 

 

Independence Day CelebrationSpecial Events:

Patriots Tour: Sacramento Historic City Cemetery, July 2, Sat 10am

Join docents Marcia Rogers and Julianna Horrell as they pay homage to patriotic citizens whose small feats of courage and great acts of sacrifice shaped the country we live in today.

 

Sacramento Independence Day Celebration: Cal Expo – Miller Lite Grandstand, July 4, Mon Gates 6pm; Fireworks 9:30pm

Enjoy a family-oriented collection of activities focused around our Nation’s birthday. In addition to the spectacular fireworks display, the Celebration includes music & dancing.

Military Appreciation Days: Funderland Amusement Park, July 2-July 4,

Sat & Sun 10am-6pm; Mon 11am-5pm

In honor of 4th of July & those who have served & are serving with the US military, Funderland is offering specials to those with military ID. See specials.

 

Fourth of July Fun: Discovery Museum Science & Space Center, July 2-July 3,

Sat & Sun 12:30pm-4pm

Three cheers for the red, white, & blue! Kids show patriotic pride by crafting an old favorite--a star-spangled waver. Don’t forget to purchase your fireworks from the booth at the Museum!

Red, white, and blue Zydeco direct from Louisiana. Music by Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble. Enjoy a dance lesson, great dance floor, awesome Louisiana food, and more!

Please welcome back one of Deaver’s most requested groups: After Dark! Angus Mutton BBQ will offer tri-tip sliders, BBQ ribs, and salads. Of course there’ll be great (local!) Deaver wines to complete your meal.

 

Fourth of July Fireworks Train: Napa Valley Wine Train (Napa), July 4,
