Enter the "Little Shop of Horrors" at Sacramento Theatre Company

Fraught with dark humor, catchy tunes, and even a sadistic dentist, Little Shop of Horrors makes for a fitting conclusion of Sacramento Theatre Company's 2011-2012 season of Mystery, Music, and Mayhem.

When a struggling floral assistant lets the success of his unusual breed of plant get the better of him, he learns that "success comes with messy strings." This moral is delivered to the audience throughout the play, and the quirky combination of larger-than-life, carnivorous puppet-plant, comical characters, and musical numbers alleviate any preachiness one may expect with a moral-based tale. While some PG-13 language may not be suitable for the littlest ones, youth and adults alike will definitely enjoy!

Originally a film, then a musical play, and then a musical film, you will be immensely entertained by STC's rendition of the musical play version--whether you're familiar with any, all, or none of the productions.

Little Shop of Horrors runs through May 20 and tickets are still available. You can also catch STC’s Barrymore through May 6.
